Empowering Young Changemakers Through Indigenous Wisdom and Purpose
Nitin Tailor, Founder of Serve Happiness Foundation, was invited as the Keynote Speaker at the 17th Tribal Youth Exchange Programme, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports at Birsa Munda Tribal University, Rajpipla. The prestigious event brought together nearly 500 tribal students from different states across India, creating a vibrant platform for leadership development, cultural exchange, and nation-building
Celebrating the Strength of Tribal Communities
Drawing from his years of engagement with tribal communities across Narmada, the Dangs of South Gujarat, and Dantewada (Chhattisgarh), Nitin shared inspiring stories of resilience, simplicity, self-reliance, and community leadership. He spoke about the rich cultural heritage, traditional wisdom, sustainable lifestyles, and deep respect for nature that have been preserved by tribal communities for generations.
He emphasized that tribal knowledge systems offer valuable lessons in environmental conservation, community living, and sustainable development, making them highly relevant in today’s rapidly changing world.
Leadership Rooted in Community
During his keynote, Nitin encouraged students to become changemakers by combining their traditional knowledge with modern education, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He highlighted that real leadership begins with identifying local challenges and working collectively to create sustainable solutions that uplift entire communities.
He urged participants to explore opportunities in social entrepreneurship, organic farming, eco-tourism, traditional handicrafts, digital innovation, and community enterprises, demonstrating that meaningful development is possible without compromising cultural identity.

The keynote highlighted the importance of value-based education, resilience, innovation, design thinking, and grassroots entrepreneurship. Nitin also shared the journey and impact of the Narmada Prerna Yatra, explaining how the initiative has inspired many tribal youth to discover their strengths, build self-confidence, and develop leadership skills through experiential learning. By interacting with inspiring role models, grassroots organizations, and social entrepreneurs, participants gain practical insights into creating positive change in their own villages and communities.
He encouraged the students to become ambassadors of development who preserve their traditions while embracing innovation and education for the greater good of society.
