Celebrating International Youth Day 2026 Through Experiential Learning, Purpose & Social Impact
International Youth Day, observed every year on 12 August, recognizes the important role of young people in shaping societies and highlights the opportunities and challenges faced by youth around the world. The 2026 theme, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” celebrates the diversity of young people while recognizing their shared aspirations for a better, more inclusive, peaceful, and sustainable future.
Inspiring Young Minds at Navrachna University
It was an honor and a privilege for Nitin Tailor, Founder of Serve Happiness Foundation, to be invited by Navrachna Innovation Foundation, Navrachna University, on 12 August 2026 to inspire young minds on the occasion of International Youth Day.
Celebrating International Youth Day 2026 Through Experiential Learning, Purpose & Social Impact
The interaction was an enriching opportunity to share reflections from Nitin’s journey of social entrepreneurship, purposeful living, experiential travel, youth empowerment, and creating positive social impact. The session encouraged students to look beyond conventional definitions of success and explore how their knowledge, creativity, and energy can contribute meaningfully to society.
Beyond Classrooms: Learning Through Travel
One of the key reflections shared during the session was the transformative power of solo travel and experiential learning. Travel often takes us beyond familiar surroundings and comfort zones, exposing us to different people, cultures, challenges, and perspectives.
Nitin shared how travelling can sometimes teach lessons that cannot be learned from textbooks alone. It develops confidence, adaptability, empathy, decision-making, resilience, and problem-solving abilities while helping young people understand the diversity and complexity of the real world.
Narmada Prerna Yatra: A Classroom Without Walls
The discussion also highlighted the Narmada Prerna Yatra as a powerful experiential learning platform for youth. The Yatra connects participants with grassroots heroes, inspiring role models, social organizations, rural entrepreneurs, nature, culture, spirituality, and their own inner self.

Youth Are Changemakers Today
Through meaningful conversations and real-life experiences, participants discover that some of India’s most inspiring leaders are ordinary people quietly creating extraordinary change in their communities. Such experiences encourage young people to move from merely observing social challenges to asking an important question: “What can I do to create positive change?”
The session emphasized that youth are not merely the leaders of tomorrow—they are the changemakers of today. Their ideas, courage, creativity, technology, energy, and compassion can shape a happier, more inclusive, sustainable, and responsible society.Nitin encouraged students to dream beyond personal success and consider how their careers and entrepreneurial journeys can create value for communities and contribute to nation-building.
“Youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are the changemakers of today. Step beyond your comfort zone, learn from the real world, discover your purpose, and use your talents to create happiness and positive change around you.” — Nitin Tailor
From Purpose to Positive Change
The International Youth Day interaction reinforced a simple but powerful message: education is not limited to classrooms. Sometimes, the greatest lessons are waiting on the road, in villages, in conversations with inspiring people, and in moments that challenge us to discover ourselves.
Serve Happiness Foundation remains committed to creating opportunities where young people can learn through experience, connect with their roots, discover purpose, and become compassionate leaders and social entrepreneurs.
As we celebrate the spirit of International Youth Day, let us encourage young people to travel beyond their comfort zones, learn from diverse communities, dream beyond personal achievement, and use their talents to serve society. Because when different contexts come together through common aspirations, youth can become the strongest force for creating a happier, more inclusive, and sustainable Viksit Bharat 2047.
