Inspiring Educators for Viksit Bharat 2047
Nitin Tailor, Founder of Serve Happiness Foundation, was invited as an Expert Speaker and felicitated during the valedictory session of the One-Week Short Term Training Program (STTP) titled “Gyaan Setu 2047: The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Knowledge Bridge”, organized by the Regional Coordinating Institute (RCI), Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, SVNIT Surat, in collaboration with NCI-IIT Delhi and NIRD & PR Hyderabad.
Experiential Learning for Rural Transformation
The prestigious program brought together nearly 120 professors and faculty members from 97 colleges across India in a hybrid mode to deliberate on strengthening rural development through higher education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. The workshop focused on empowering educators to become catalysts for sustainable rural transformation.
Meaningful Education
During his keynote address, Nitin shared the journey and impact of the Narmada Prerna Yatra, demonstrating how experiential learning can bridge the gap between classrooms and real-life challenges. He emphasized that meaningful education should inspire students to step outside academic boundaries, understand grassroots realities, and become problem-solvers rather than merely job seekers.

Nitin encouraged faculty members to inspire students towards social entrepreneurship, where innovation is driven not only by economic success but also by social impact. He emphasized that startups emerging from rural India have the potential to generate sustainable livelihood opportunities for farmers, tribal communities, women, and youth while addressing challenges related to healthcare, education, agriculture, waste management, renewable energy, and environmental conservation.
He stressed that universities have a significant responsibility in nurturing ethical entrepreneurs who can build enterprises rooted in compassion, sustainability, and community participation.
Academia as a Catalyst for Nation Building
The session generated meaningful discussions on integrating design thinking, experiential learning, innovation, and grassroots immersion into higher education. Faculty members explored how institutions can collaborate with local communities, social enterprises, and government initiatives such as Unnat Bharat Abhiyan to create practical learning opportunities for students.
The interaction reinforced the idea that universities are not merely centers of knowledge but also powerful institutions for solving societal challenges and preparing future leaders committed to Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047.
