Nitin Tailor, Founder of Serve Happiness Foundation, had the privilege of serving as the Distinguished Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony of LitFest 2K26 at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat. The vibrant literary festival brought together students, academicians, authors, artists, and creative minds to celebrate literature, storytelling, innovation, and intellectual dialogue.
A Journey from Small-Town Dreams to Social Impact
Addressing students of one of India’s premier engineering institutions, Nitin shared his inspiring life journey—from studying in a Municipal Government School in Rajpipla to earning his M.Tech from IIIT Bangalore, receiving the Gold Medal, and eventually becoming the first International TEDx Speaker from the Bharuch region. He encouraged students to believe that determination, continuous learning, and a clear sense of purpose can transform ordinary beginnings into extraordinary journeys.
He reminded students that true education is not merely about acquiring degrees but about developing character, curiosity, and the courage to contribute positively to society.
The Transformative Power of Reading
During his keynote address, Nitin emphasized that books have the power to shape lives, expand perspectives, and inspire action. He encouraged students to cultivate the habit of reading beyond academics, explaining that great books nurture creativity, empathy, leadership, and critical thinking.
Drawing inspiration from his own experiences, he explained how literature, biographies, and philosophical writings influenced his transition from a successful corporate career to founding Serve Happiness Foundation and dedicating his life to social entrepreneurship and community development.

Nitin highlighted the importance of staying connected to one’s roots while embracing innovation and global opportunities. He encouraged students to use their technical knowledge, creativity, and leadership abilities to solve real-world challenges through social entrepreneurship, grassroots innovation, and community engagement.

The event was further enriched by the presence of renowned screenwriter Niren Bhatt and talented performers, making LitFest 2K26 a memorable celebration of literature, art, creativity, and innovation.
During the ceremony, Nitin was also felicitated for his contributions to social service through Serve Happiness Foundation, recognizing the Foundation’s work in youth empowerment, experiential learning, social entrepreneurship, and nation-building.
